Safety limit switches are used for the reliable monitoring of machine movements, positions, and end limits as part of machine safety and control systems. They detect predefined positions of moving components such as guards, conveyors, slides, or mechanical assemblies and ensure that machines operate only within safe operating conditions. Safety limit switches play a critical role in many safety functions where mechanically verified and positively operated switching is required.
Our product range includes IDEM Safety limit switches, available in plastic, die‑cast metal, and 316 stainless steel housings. The switches feature positive opening NC safety contacts in accordance with IEC 60947‑5‑1 and offer a wide selection of actuator heads, including roller plungers, roller levers, pin plungers, spring levers, adjustable levers, and telescopic roller levers. Both slow‑action and snap‑action contact versions are available to meet different application requirements.
Safety limit switches are designed for use in demanding industrial environments, offering high mechanical service life and reliable protection against dust, moisture, and washdown. IP67 and IP69K‑rated versions are particularly suitable for food, pharmaceutical, and process industry applications, as well as outdoor installations. Replaceable internal contact blocks simplify maintenance and extend the overall service life of the switch.
