Fiseg Oy has achieved a Bronze rating in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment. For the company, the result is important primarily because it demonstrates that both its operations and related documentation meet the level expected by today’s customer requirements. EcoVadis is one of the world’s most widely used corporate sustainability assessment platforms, and a Bronze rating means that the company ranks among the top 35% of assessed businesses, provided all other assessment criteria are also met.
Fiseg Oy operates in the field of industrial automation products, sensors, and components. Its business is based on practical technical distribution and customer service, where reliability, delivery capability, and expertise are essential. Increasingly, however, customers also expect suppliers to demonstrate how sustainability is managed and evidenced within the organization. For this reason, sustainability development was not treated as a separate project but rather as an integral part of business development and a way to respond to customer expectations.
During the project, sustainability consultancy company Reforest Finland Oy helped Fiseg advance its sustainability efforts in a practical and structured manner. The work included calculating the company’s carbon footprint, reviewing its current sustainability practices, and developing procedures, operating models, and documentation.
